Getting Rid of Bad Habits for Good

Getting Rid of Bad Habits for Good

Our understanding of how the neurons in the brain work together to create patterns of behavior date back to the work done by Donald Hebb more than 50 years ago. Hebb coined the phrase "Neurons that fire together, wire together." If you continually have a certain thought pattern or behavior repeated over time, then the neurons in the brain strengthen. and habits get formed.
Habits are patterns that create "grooves" or neural pathways in the brain, just like ruts or paths in a road. The deeper the groove, the less likely we are to consciously think about that habit.

For example, when you take the same route somewhere on a regular basis, you start to operate on a subconscious level, and sometimes find that you arrive at your destination and don't even realize how you got there!
Habits can be great in many instances. When we play sports, we can create the habit of correctly shooting the ball or swinging the club through constant practice until we no longer have to consciously think about what we're doing, because the motion becomes automatic.

Practice makes perfect. But, what if we've been practicing to perfection, and the habits are bad? The ones that we need to change? The brain has no way of distinguishing between a "good" habit or a "bad" habit when it creates these neural pathways. When you do anything on a regular basis, good or bad, you're strengthening and typing those neurons together. That's why bad habits can sometimes be very hard to change, no matter how much we want to on a conscious level.
The key to making the changes you want to make, breaking bad habits and creating new good ones, is to consciously think about things differently. This will create new pathways. Practice does makes perfect, and practice also makes permanent. If you practice what you want instead of what you intend, you can change your life for the better!

It's like rehearsing for a play - the play you WANT to be in!
The neurons in our brain are constantly changing, dependent on what we are thinking or the habits we practice on a daily basis. If we learn to use certain skills then we can actually develop our neural networks to create that groove, so that we can make lifestyle changes more easily and automatically than ever!

Our thoughts really do create our reality, and when we do it with purpose
and imagination, it's called Creative Visualization and Guided Meditation, and it really works. You can do it yourself, but , it takes a long time and a lot of discipline to do it correctly.

The easiest way to do it is with BrainTap Technologies' MindFit headset with an audio library of  677 audio titles specifically designed to help you mentally rehearse in life what you want. All you need to do is sit back, relax and allow the technology to do the work for you! You listen to beautiful, scientifically designed music, and words that are all about the habits and the life that you want to create.

You can do this with the headset - which is like getting a Mercedes - or you can just do the audio portion - and that's like getting a fully loaded
Camry. Both are excellent, and will get you where you're going.

I would love to give you 30 days of total access to all 677 sessions, for free, that you can listen to right on your cell phone or tablet. No credit card required, and no obligation!

Your brain processes every thought you have as REAL - use that to reach your goals!

From the moment of you’re born, your brain starts developing based on the way you interact with the world, the people around you, and your environment.

Your brain is like a DVD recorder. As you experience the world around you, it actually records all those experiences. That’s how we create memories – and then we store those memories in “files.”

One of the most essential ways to create the life you want to is is based on the fact that as you develop the ability to remember the past, you are also developing the ability to imagine and create the future!

Human beings are like time travelers. It is part of what makes us unique in the animal kingdom. We can go backwards and forwards in time in our minds.

Another way of saying that is that we are concerned about tomorrow precisely because we remember yesterday, and that allows us to create a plan for a better future! It also gives us the power of creativity and problem solving.

And most incredible of all – the brain perceives very little difference between things that real or imagined!

Hard to believe? Researchers discovered that there are remarkable similarities in brain activity, whether you're remembering an event that actually happened in your life, or you are just imagining it! The exact same areas of the brain are activated during these two tasks.

That’s why it’s so important to be aware of all your thoughts,
and to monitor them. Each and every thought you have creates a very real and powerful impact on your life.

Just as it is essential for parents to help build their children build memories, you need to be your own mentor and parent, to notice your thoughts, and to purposely choose positive, productive thoughts and images, as that is what will create the quality of your life, and allow you to reach your goals.

You have an amazing capacity to imagine your way into the future that you desire. By simply thinking about something you want to do, or a habit you want to change, your brain thinks that it is actually happening - and you’re on your way to achieving what you want. You are actually creating a new neural pathways to do that – and it can be easier that you probably ever thought possible.

If you would like 30 days of free audios that will help you do that in almost every area of your life, just email me. I will send you a free APP with over 600 titles. No credit card required, no obligation – it is simply a gift that can dramatically improve your life!

Dianna

Got Insomnia? Stop using your Smart Phone or Tablet when it's time to Go to Sleep!

                                 Got Insomnia?

Stop using your Cell or Tablet when it's time for bed!

Checking your smartphone or reading on a tablet before trying to go to sleep may have become a habit for you, as it has for so many people, but it's doing terrible things to your sleep cycle, according to Harvard Medical School scientists, who have discovered that specific wavelengths of light can suppress the sleep inducing melatonin in the brain.
"We have biologically shifted ourselves so we can’t fall asleep earlier," according to
Charles A. Czeisler, a professor of sleep medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Why? The light emitted from your phones alerts your body that it's time to be awake--not time to prepare for sleep. Your brain processes that light as if it's seeing sunlight, and that signals the body to be awake and alert. The brain stops producing melatonin, the hormone that gives your body the sleep signal. Your sleep cycle is disrupted, making it harder to fall asleep and stay asleep, which not only causes fatigue but could cause health problems down the line.
And so a vicious cycle begins. You check your phone, your brain thinks it's time to be awake, and you don’t fall asleep when you had planned. Then, since you're up anyway, you probably go onto your phone or tablet again - which signals your body to stay awake.
When you finally do get to sleep, instead of getting the necessary 7 or 8 hours of sleep, you end up getting five or six. This is very damaging to your body because it doesn't give it the time needed to cleanse and rest.
This lack of good solid sleep not only causes fatigue the next day, it also causes lack of focus, poor memory, and distractedness. It can make it harder for students to learn, and people who don’t get enough restful sleep are more prone to depression, weight gain, and other health problems.
Routinely getting fewer than 8 hours of sleep compromises alertness, reaction time,
productivity, mood, and efficiency, according to Australia’s Sleep Health Foundation.
The best solution is to put the cell phone or tablet down at least an hour before sleep. This will give your brain the proper signal that it's time for a restful night's sleep.
I also recommend an incredible, cutting edge device called MindFit, which  is designed to enhance sleep, so you wake up fully energized and rejuvenated. It also helps reduce stress, worry and frustration and eradicates the effects that modern technology has on our bodies.
If you're one of the millions of Americans who find sleep elusive, I am also happy to offer you 30 days of free audios that you can listen to on your phone (with the light turned the other way as soon as you turn it on) to help you go to sleep quickly and easily - and stay asleep. Just visit the Healthy Sleep Habits audio series to see the titles and descriptions.
If you want to try these absolutely free (no credit card required) just email me at diannawhitley@icloud.com and I will set you up with it, no strings attached.
The amazing thing about this gift is that you will also receive access to over 600 sessions on Stress Reduction, Learning Acceleration, Sports Enhancement, Making Sales Easily, Weight Loss, and more. So not only will you get better night's sleep -  you will get better tools to handle all your daytime activities as well!

Yearning for a Deeply Refreshing Night's Sleep?

The facts are dramatic. Studies have shown that people who get 5 hours or less of sleep have an increases in blood pressure and inflammation because hormone production and metabolism are interrupted.  And, people who get 7 to 8 hours of good quality sleep are proven to have slimmer waistlines as well - which as most people know, is a basic indicator of overall health.

Brain scans have proven that subjects that get good sleep crave an average of 600 fewer calories than those who are tired and not well-rested. Insomnia is rampant in the United States? About one in three people have had insomnia at some point, and it often brings with it the side effects of daytime drowsiness, irritability, lack of concentration, and poor memory.

When you don't get the deep sleep you need to recharge and rebuild, your immune system can suffer as well.  As a wellness practitioner, I've seen the harmful effects lack of a deep, restful night's sleep can have on both the body and mind.

If you don't get enough sleep or don't get quality sleep,  I recommend that you try the PorterVision SMT Audio Series specifically designed for Insomnia, and I am thrilled to offer it to you for 30 days absolutely FREE.

You can listen to on your phone or other devices. Just send me your name and email address - no strings - no gimmicks - no credit card! No hidden obligations at all.

These are designed to balance brainwave activity to make falling asleep, and getting better quality sleep easy and natural. This powerful Insomnia Audio Series will deliver the powerful brainwave entrainment, combined with creative visualizations designed to help you fall asleep and stay asleep--improving the quality of your life in immeasurable ways.

This will also give you free access to over 600 other audios to make your life richer and more satisfying: Stress Reduction and Relaxation, Insomnia, Eradicating Pain, a variety of Health Conditions, Stress Free Dentistry, as well as sessions on creating Optimum Health and Energy, Wealth Consciousness, Mind Mastery, Stress Free Dentistry, Pain Reduction, Learning Acceleration, "Being NaturallyThin” - even Sports Enhancement for Golf and other sports!

30 Days of Free Streaming Audios from Stress Reduction to Weight Loss

Is your mind like a broken record sometimes? Do you set your goals in concrete  then fail to reach them time and time again? Do you have any challenges, like Stress, Insomnia, or extra weight you would like to get rid of? I want to GIVE you - no strings attached - 30 days of free Self Mastery Actualization (SMT) audios that you can listen to right on your cell phone or tablet. There are over 600 sessions, on just about every subject you could think of - Stress Reduction and Weight Loss are always the most popular, but we also have audios on Insomnia, Heart Health, Achievement and Performance (for work and sports), Addiction (alcohol, gambling - you name it), Learning Acceleration, and Wealth Consciousness, just to name a few!

People report significant changes such as:
  • Stress relief through deep relaxation
  • Better and sounder sleep
  • Improved memory
  • Improved learning skills such as concentration and recall of information
  • Emotional stability and a sense of calm, increased focus
  • Increased physical energy

What Happens During a SMT Session? While you listen to Dr. Patrick Porter talking about the subject you have chosen, you are immersed in a perfect mixture of sound frequencies and specially designed music creating a higher degree of alpha/theta brainwave activity.

Many of the results come from the simple calming down of all the internal chatter that most people in our culture have going on in their brains - quieting the "Monkey Mind," that talks us to us non-stop and leaps from idea to idea. These sessions create the Relaxation Response that Henry Benson talks about in his ground breaking book, The Relaxation Response - and that response alone creates a whole laundry list of good things. They are the same things that happen during consistent meditation, but most people in the Western World have a hard time mastering that discipline.

Go to http://www.self-masterytechnology.com/streaming/diannawhitley and check it out - but don't sign up for the free sessions, as you will only get 7 days, and you would have to put in your credit card. This is a special promotion where you get 30 days, on 3 devices, 3 a day - for a total of 90 sessions - and you don't need to enter your credit card! Just send me an email at diannawhitley@gmail.com and I will set it for you.

Creative visualization and stimulation of brainwave activity are among the most studied areas of psychiatry and psychology. These are some of the results have been demonstrated through documented studies and in clinical settings with hundreds of thousands of clients:

The right and left hemispheres of the brain become more balanced.

Blood flow to the brain increases, resulting in clearer thinking, better concentration, improved memory, and enhanced creativity.

Serotonin levels increase by up to 21%, which calms the mind and body and creates an overall sense of wellbeing

Endorphin levels increase by up to 25%. These are the hormones that flow through the body when we feel happy. Endorphins provide the brain with alertness, are a natural anti-depressant, provide relief from pain, and create pleasurable and loving feelings.

The majority of SMT users report significant changes such as:
  • Stress relief through deep relaxation
  • Better and sounder sleep
  • Improved memory
  • Improved learning skills such as concentration and recall of information
  • Emotional stability and a sense of calm, increased focus
  • Increased physical energy
Is it safe? Absolutely. The only known side effects are improved memory, better sleep, clearer focus, enhanced concentration, faster healing and reduced stress.

What Happens During a MindFit/Self-Mastery Technology Session? While you listen to Dr. Patrick Porter talking about the subject you have chosen, you are immersed in a perfect mixture of sound frequencies and specially designed music creating a higher degree of alpha/theta brainwave activity.

For those interested in the science of all this:

Using the science of frequency following response (FFR), your brainwave activity will follow the pulse rate of the NSA system. At the same time, your conscious mind rehearses the changes or improvements you want in your life. Most people notice the biggest difference after the sessions end, and report feeling "calm and focused," or say that they feel "alert, yet relaxed."

What is Frequency Following Response? It is the effect created through synchronized sound. It's how the brain "syncs" to the tones. While your brain follows the frequencies, you experience less inner chatter and improved concentration. After a few days or weeks of regular use, most people gain a sense of balance and inner calm. Users report feeling serene, focused, and alert even when faced with high-pressure situations.

What are Binaural Beats? You will nearly be aware of them, but there are two separate tones of a slightly different pitch. One tone is presented to the left ear and the other to the right ear. Your brain combines the two tones to make a single new tone. The single tone pulses to match relaxed brainwave frequencies.

Your brain follows the pattern and creates a relaxed state that is optimal for learning, problem solving, and self-motivation.

What are Isochronic Tones? These are equal intensity pulses of sound separated by an interval of silence. They turn on and off rapidly, but the speed depends on the desired brain frequency. The discrete nature of isochronic tones makes them particularly easy for the brain to follow. While binaural beats rely on balanced hearing in both ears, isochronic tones work effectively for nearly everyone, with the exception of someone with complete hearing loss. This is one of the reasons the PorterVision NSAs incorporate both types of tones.

How Important is the Music and Sound? Environmental sounds and music have been used for centuries in almost all cultures to create altered states of consciousness. For example, native tribes used drums, chants, and environmental sounds like wind and rain to provide strong mental pictures and associations. There is a reason we find it relaxing to sit by the ocean and listen to waves crashing to shore or the sound of a stream as it trickles over rocks. It's called Brain Wave Entrainment, and these pleasant sounds tend to naturally generate alpha brainwave activity.

In today's frenetic culture, though, we rarely get to enjoy nature's relaxing effects. For this reason, the PorterVision team has individually encoded each session so that on a daily basis you can get a perfectly synchronized experience similar to that which nature provides.

The music you hear on every audio-session was composed specifically to create a full 360-degree experience that floods your mind with beautiful images and peaceful thoughts.

Why do some of the SMT audio-sessions have two voices? This dual-voice technique is intentional. It's not a mistake! The purpose of the dual voice is three-fold.

First, you'll notice that the ancillary voice moves from right to left. This is to activate both the right and left hemispheres of the brain.

Second, you'll find that the primary voice is more assertive, while the secondary voice is more passive. This, too, is to activate different areas of the brain.

Third, the two voices work together to create a whole-brain state by inspiring the conscious mind to let go. When the conscious mind isn't trying to control every word, it helps the brain to balance while freeing the individual to relax and enjoy the positive ideas and images being presented. You don't have to consciously listen to either voice - just enjoy the the deeper relaxation this dual-voice method provides.

If all of this whets your interest, great! Just drop me a line, and I would love to set you up for a complimentary month of these sessions for you and your family to enjoy!

We are always researching these benefits with our users and partners in the field by the way. Please be aware that while Self-Mastery Technology is designed to help you reach your full potential, we cannot guarantee which results you will experience, as results vary from person to person.

Some people experience ALL of these incredible benefits and results - so I say, just try it!

All the Best,
Dianna
