Relax and Expand Your Mind in Two Minutes Flat!

What is this man doing?

And why does he look so relaxed and happy?

He is experiencing a session of MindFit, or Self Mastery Technology (SMT), an extraordinary technology that creates deep relaxation and motivation in a matter of a few minutes.

It does this by delivering gentle pulses of light through closed eyelids, using special glasses, combined with very specialized audio sessions.

The lights synchronize with tones known as binaural beats to produce deep and profound relaxation, while you listen to one of 500 sessions on specific goals, such as Self Confidence, Sales Mastery, Learning Acceleration, MInd Mastery, Weight Loss, Stress Reductioneven Mastering Golf and other sports.

Twenty five years of research has proven that this particular kind of flickering light and synchronized tones can produce relaxed states. Combining the two produces an even deeper level of relaxation that is optimum for healing, focus, and accelerated learning

And, because a twenty-minute session simulates a sleep cycle, it can be the equivalent of as much as four hours of sleep.

If you want to get more done in less time, feeling relaxed yet energized, MindFit (SMT) technology might be for you.

Each MindFit system has a mini computer that guides the user through the brainwave entrainment process, and each individual session is specifically designed for that session.

The MindFit system works with whatever device you normally use to listen to music, as long as it has an audio output. An iPod®, iPad® MP3 Player, Smartphone, PC or laptop, will work.

Self Mastery Technology (SMT) creates deep levels of relaxation, then uses guided visualization to form mental images. Visualization is at the core of the human ability to create, innovate and dream.

Many of history's inventors and artists attribute their success to an exceptional ability to visualize. Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, Henry Ford and the great composer, Chopin, all reported using what we now call Creative Visualization and Relaxation.

Albert Einstein once said that he came up with the theory of relativity by imagining what would happen if he could travel through space on the tip of a light beam.

SMT can transport you out of a state of stress or fear, and into a new space of inner calm, peace and tranquility. This is known as the "relaxation response," and is the perfect state for learning, healing, or focusing on your goals.

If you want more exercise, but don’t like the gym - go dancing!

If you want to get more exercise, but don’t like going to the gym, recent studies have shown 5 remarkable results from dancing.

1. A study by the New York Heart Association discovered that even a dance as slow as waltzing has the same aerobic health benefits as more traditional forms of cardiovascular exercise, such as cycling or walking.

2. As we get older, (a process that accelerates at a surprisingly early age – around 30!) our joints stiffen. A Saint Louis University study found that a 12-week, low-impact dance program, the amount of pain pills that the participants took for knee and hip pain decreased by 39% - and the average age was 80. So if you are younger (and since you are reading this, chances are good that you are) then any aches and pains have an excellent chance of vanishing altogether by simply dancing them away.

3. There are also pronounced aerobic benefits, for even dances as slow as a waltz. A study by the New York Heart Association discovered that waltzing has the same aerobic health as more traditional forms of cardiovascular exercise, such as cycling or walking!

4. Stress, Insomnia and mood disorders are rampant in our fast paced world, and a group of researchers in Australia showed that in only two weeks, there were significant reductions in their levels of stress, anxiety and insomnia.

5. The most surprising results had to do with improvements in the brain.  When Most people think of doing things like doing crosswords and playing golf as a way of staving off dementia, but according to a 21-year study led by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, older adults who danced regularly had a 76% reduced risk for developing dementia!

The researchers think that dancing is beneficial for our brains because it combines cardiovascular exercise with split-second decision making that causes our entire nervous system to create new neural pathways.

So if you find treadmills and weights boring, get out there and dance the night away. It’s better for your health than you may have imagined!

REBOOT for Your Sanity and Your Health

Have you ever fervently wished you could hit the reset button, go back in time, and erase something you've done? You probably don't have human blood in your veins if the answer is no.

I would love to say just Click Here, and it will be done - but I do have the next best thing. We can all reboot. And we can do it as often as we need to.

An age old way to do that is through meditation, but that is sometimes challenging for Westerners. We have those chatty, argumentative, playful, worrying, wondering, nattering Monkey Minds. Maybe everyone does, in any culture, but I am as certain as a non-scientist can be that Westerners get the Blue Ribbon for the business Monkey Minds on the planet. It usually takes months, if not years, to be able to do well enough to even begin to eradicate the stress of the day.

If you'd like to read an incredibly funny account of Elizabeth Gilbert trying to meditate, read her book, "Eat, Pray, Love."

If, on the other hand, you would like an easy way to REBOOT your health, your weight, your business, or some other aspect of your life, you actually can do that.

If you're of being tired, finding yourself back at square one yet again, or stressed out

more often than you know in your heart of hearts is good for you, then contact me. If

you'd like to read more about it first, and listen to a sample session, go to:

                      http://www.self-masterytechnology.com/smt/diannawhitley

You will find a complete description of what this is, how it works, as well as

       samples, examples, and research.

If you live in Phoenix, Sedona, or Los Angeles, I will give you a free demo at your home, office, and if you don't, we can do it on the phone. (480) 389-1019.

Scientists Discover Huge Anti-Aging and Health Benefits of Walking a Dog

Studies  prove that one way to help you feel as young as you did 10 years ago is to simply walk a dog every day. It doesn't even have to be your own dog!

The research was done by scientists at St. Andrews University in Scotland and appeared in Preventative Medicine in July 2014. They assessed the mental and physical wellbeing of 547 people with an average age of 79, 9% of whom owned a dog, and of those, 75% of whom walked their dogs regularly.

Many earlier studies have shows that people who own dogs tend have lower blood pressure, report being happier, score higher on tests measuring mental well being, and are generally more fit on average than than the average person who does not own a dog, but this is the first study to look into the mental and physical health benefits for seniors in having a dog (if they take it for walks every day).

The group that was studied wore a monitor that kept track of their physical activity. The results showed that the dog walkers tended to have activity levels that were roughly equivalent to people 10 years younger. They also had much better scores on tests that measured anxiety and depression.

The lead scientist, Doctor Zhiqiang Feng suggests setting up “dog loaning” programs could be set up with people that cannot walk their dogs for one reason or another, and the writer Steve Williams, in his article "Want to Feel 10 Years Younger? Walk a Dog," in Care2, took it another step, suggesting that if these programs were set up with dog shelters, it would benefit  the two and the four footed, and be a win/win for both the dogs and people who walk them.

Feel LIke a Broken Record Sometimes?

Maybe that's good.

Do you have a habit, thought pattern, or belief system that keeps playing over and over again? Smash that record! Delete that tape! Get rid of the things that are in between you and your success, personally and professionally.

Making the decision is often the most challenging part - which is why the slogan "Just Do It" is so powerful.

Les Brown Lacked Confidence until he Decided to "Stop arguing for his own limitations."

Les Brown, widely regarded as the leading motivational speaker in the world, put off doing Public Speaking for 14 years, because he didn't believe in himself!
He procrastinated, made up reasons, and convinced himself he wasn't good enough, until one day a friend of his hung up on him and said he wouldn''t listen to him "argue for his limitations" anymore.
Les Brown got it. He could continue to talk himself out of his dreams, or stand up for what he truly wanted, and the best part that he not only created the life that he truly wanted - he has helped millions of people in the process!
Confidence is essential if you want to achieve your dreams. It's the foundation for all the other skills and traits entrepreneurs need to achieve success. Watch this great 4 minute video of Les Brown talking about how he started to believe in himself, so that he could do his life's work.

An Incredibly Simple Way to Keep Your Brain Fit

An Incredibly Simple Way to Keep Your Brain Fit!

I made an exciting discovery today. I was late in taking my morning walk, and it was very hot by the time I did, so instead of going in a straight line across the park, the way I usually do, I zigged and zagged back and forth, staying in the shade of the trees most of the time.
The result was that I walked faster and longer than I do even when I walk early in the day when it's cooler, and I think that was the plasticity factor, meaning that new activities keep the brain engaged, and increase our productivity.
With Alzheimer’s Disease on the rise, this is so important. My Dad has it, and I have helplessly watched as his mind has disappeared while his body stays behind. He still has his core personality, thankfully, so he is upbeat and happy, but he doesn't know where he is, rarely knows who he is talking to, and can’t hold a conversation – and he was a brilliant man.
It is a hideous disease, and anything we can do to prevent getting it is worth doing in spades.
But even aside from that, brain plasticity is crucially important to our lives today, as it improves so many areas of our lives. More on this tommorrow.
If you would like a free initial coaching session on the phone, just give me a call. If you are in Phoenix, I will come to your office, so that you can experience a complimentary session of the wonderful benefits of MindFit Technology in person.  (480) 389-1019.
